The Care and Support of HIV/AIDS Infected and Affected persons’ project has been implemented by TMSSS with the financial support of Manos Unidas, Spain.
To strengthen the ability of the Communities to identify the needs and to develop and implement activities focused on HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support of PLHA and build the capacity of local organizations to manage and implement HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support services.
Activities
The different activities initiated towards reaching the goals and objectives of the project are:
Staff capacity building training
Skill development among Peer Educators
Exposure visits to learn from observations and interactions
Networking with Stakeholders
Motivation and counselling of PLHAs
Training to care givers
Awareness to school students and the public
Stakeholders meet at panchayat and district level
Sensitization of PTAs and service providers
Distribution of nutritional support
