Sontham is one of the several units of TMSSS established during the year 1993 with the grant- in aid of the CSWB, New Delhi to care stranded women and children for short duration and to rehabilitate them in mainstream of life. The home provides temporary shelter for girls, women and children in precarious conditions before and after marriage and also for those who runaway from homes due to various reasons.
The girls and women admitted in the home are referred by different departments of the Government and other NGO’s. They are guided to solve their problems and difficulties through counselling. The girls, women and children so admitted are being provided food, accommodation, health care and recreational facilities.
